Literature Text
Pete took a break from the family gathering to look out the window to stare at the heavy clouds. He spotted the first snowflake of the season. Pete quickly ran around the house telling his family it was snowing, they all started to gather around the window, gapped snowflakes turned into a thick blizzard. Pete was still looking for everyone, so nobody would miss it. He was checking every room, even every closet, he was convinced someone was missing. Finally Pete gave up and ran back to the window, but everyone was walking away, the snowing had stopped. Pete realised he was the person he was looking for.

Oh, but fake halos are so easy to break
and pointless lives are so easy to take
porcelain dolls I am longing to smash
bend their wings and down they will crash
take a picture it 'll last longer than I will
a silhouette on my windowsill
death and destruction are the things that I'm made for
power and loss are what I'll be slayed for

the world watches as I switch
I watch you from too far away
lost in what I want to say
I live my life on the edge of a rose

Time, as a God
I want to know Time
as a man who tiptoes
between my eyes while I'm asleep,
wearing socks and walking softly,
trying not to disturb me;

where hanging up

despite the repercussions.
I want to know Time
as an alarm clock
that rings only when I want it to,
and willingly shuts off
at the touch of a button.
Or else I'd know it
as a garage sale, where I could
pick through items that interest me
and leave the rest to other strangers.
Instead, I know Time
as a fresh man in a suit,
who stands in front of me
with a nametag over his heart.
He always wants to shake my hand
